Hey, its… Dean Norris (a.k.a. “Big Jim” Rennie from Under the Dome)!

How good is this episode?

Let’s start with this episode’s biggest strength: Eeeeewww!!! This is definitely The X-Files’ at its most disgusting. It’s also got a pretty engaging story, including a critique of big pharmaceuticals, an ethical debate between Mulder and Scully, and a revelation of a conspiracy that even Mulder hasn’t guessed at.

How ace is this episode?

One of the prisoners has a girlfriend he is trying to get back to. However, the only result of their reunion is that he passes on a horrible disease to her and, possibly, their son.

Favourite moment: “According to my briefing, the prisoners escaped by hiding in a laundry cart.”
“I don’t think the guards are watching enough prison movies.”
